As the awareness of my being comes to me in the morning, I draw my attention to the jungle noises. I hear the river first. Masking the sound of running water is a plethora of song from a variety of birds. Mixed inwith the chirping is the hum of insects. All this is sensed with closed eyes. I wait patiently for the first sound of civilization to open my curious blue eyes. As I hear the first sound of a passing motor bike I look out slowly from my cozy little nest. Guessing what time it will be today. 6:15 A.M. Back home, which is an hour behind, I sometimes am barely crawling into bed at this hour.

This is how my day starts at The Farm. Next Kaileah comes in and tries to scare me. I laugh and invite her to come lay with me. We chat and giggle. Then we decide to go wake up her daddy. Since it is Sunday, he is still in slumber. We go in to her parent's room, sneaking like little mice. We jump up and down on him. As we do so, we are singing the "Morning Song".

I find this part of my journey in life to be very momentous. Spending
quality time with my loved ones is one of my main focuses in life. At the age of 31 I have been very blessed to have come in contact with an enormous amount of loving, true, beautiful, conscious spirits. Growing up in a concrete jungle has given me an amazing appreciation for nature. Living in a sprawling city environment as a child and teen also gave me the desire to get out.

When I was 20 years old my father passed away and along with the fact that I lived in an unhealthy atmosphere, I decided to move. I packed all my belongings and headed to Oregon. I made a home for myself on Mt. Hood. I reside there now and I am in love with my surroundings. Living in nature helps me stay connected and balanced. I feel Oneness more and more the older and wiser I grow. My family is amazing, my friends are awesome. I am loved and I love unconditionally.

Being in Costa Rica is refreshing. Being at The Farm is magical. I love to travel, do yoga, spend time with loved ones, people watch, and most of all I love to LAUGH!!! I love to share, and I enjoy life. Currently my occupation is bartending. I mix drinks for the slew of people coming to Mt. Hood to ski or snowboard or just take in the beauty. I also teach yoga there.

I miss Josh, Emily and Kaileah immensely. Although I am very proud of them
for taking a risk and not fearing change. We will be setting up some yoga
retreats and hopefully I will be there part time soon enough. Please let me
know if you are interested and Please Join Us!!! I will share more info
soon.

Always with Peace and Love,
Katrina

One Quiet Morning

Finding silence in between raindrops
Embracing each noise as if I was deaf before
Inviting all sounds as blessings into my day
A crying child, a barking dog, feeling life
As each tree branches out
My heart spreads love
I find the space within myself to accept joy
