Volunteering & Internships

We welcome volunteers and interns for a variety of projects we have going on. If you are interested in learning and participating in permaculture design and implementation, green building, gardening & reforestation, bio-diesel production, alternative energy, teaching, and more, this is the place for you. These programs are great for resume building and experience!

We offer special rates to long or short term volunteers and students. The cost is $15 a day for volunteers for stays under 3 weeks; cheaper rates are negotiable for longer term volunteers.
If you will be working on the farm from 6 weeks to 3 months the rate is $8.00 a day.

These rates are set to ensure we have a well trained crew here for you to learn.  For those that can stay for long term (3 to 6 months a year) we have a couple of position at times for a cost of $150 a month.

A work day here opens with a 6 to 7 AM breakfast.  Team leaders have listened to the farms needs and we discuss the days work.  Depending on the time of year it is we get right to work to beat the heat/rain.   We put in 4 to 5 hours in the morning.  Then we prep/eat yummy lunch,  swim, use the studio, lay in hammocks  and then back to chores for a couple of hours.  The evenings are filled with music, exercise, cooking, chocolate making and yoga.

Rates include:

  • Lodging (shared rooms)
  • Three healthy and filling meals a day
  • Use of the facilities:
    • Swimming pool
    • Dance/Yoga Studio
    • Jungle walking trails to rivers and streams
    • Laundry

Contact joshuapeaceseeker@gmail.com for more information and reservations.  Please email me directly for scheduling your time here.  It is important you confirm with us asap once you have an arrival date.  Lots of people inquire and we need  to insure that the farm flow and the space will be ready and available for you.

We are also seeking domestic volunteers for help in the Upper lodge, and kitchen. It is helpful to have experience cooking for large groups and an interest in processing foods after harvest.

      Hello!

What an amazing place! I am going to be in Costa Rica for the Permaculture Design course in February, the 11th through the 26th. I am looking for some work to do after I finish with the course. Your place sounds perfect. I wwoofed at a Thai massage retreat in Greece called the Sunshine House. I cooked meals for 25+ people multiple times so I do have some experience. I love cooking, it is my passion. I would love to know more about the position. Hopefully I hear back from you.

      Take Care!

      Sarah

Our tribe has the amazing luxury of having Joe here presently. Yoga classes are happening daily. We will soon have more amazing musicians here. Jose Conde will be here for a month as well as Billy Woods for a few weeks. We are spoiled to have such great people surrounding us.

    Hello,
I see that you said you are quite busy in Feb-March. I am going to be traveling around from March 7-April 20th and was thinking of spending some time participating in a work exchange. I have many skills, learn quickly and espouse many of the ideals you seem to, as well. Is there a chance that I might be able to come share and learn with you during that time?!
    <3 and light!

  6. Hoi Douwe,
    Groeten, Willem Pothof
